Davidson Engineering Resources, Inc. begins development of an STC that captures and records in-operation signatures of non-integrated systems components. The STC design is flexible and will be installed on both Part 23 and Part 25 aircraft. During the STC development cycle we would like to hear from you regarding what aircraft systems are the most cosly to maintain and are causing you the most trouble with delays, cancellations and what systems are driving up youor maintenance costs.
The benefit to operators is faster and efficient (reduced cost) maintenance activity, a reduction in spare part inventory cost (you'll get rid of the bad actor components when you "see the data"), and improvements in dispatch reliaibility (aircraft can be postioned where maintenance can be performed in the most cost effective manner and not grounded in some far flung out-station that only has a tire gauge and a box of metric wrenches). These maintenance cost reductions can be seen as helping to offset progressively rising fuel costs.
The STC is initially targeting Air Conditioning, Pneumatics, Electrical and Hydraulics systems. You have a chance to drive the development process to your benefit. Email with your interest (all correspondence held in highest confidence).

The poem below was written by a young American, John Gillespie Magee, Jr., who flew with the Royal Canadian Air Force in England at the Start of WW II. He was killed shohrtly after he composed "High Flight."
HIGH FLIGHT
by John Gillespie Magee, Jr.
Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth and danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds -- and done a hundred things you have not dreamed of -- wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence.
Hov'ring there, I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace where never lark, or even eagle flew.
And while with silent, lifting mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand, and touched the face of God.
